I went down an inspiring rabbit hole after discovering the app Midinous midinous.com which is masterful at taking you out of your comfort zone in terms of song-writing and structure... It started with a semi-random sequence pulsed to the Moog Mother32 and then, as layers of modular synth and other instruments joined the fray, it slowly became a despairing indictment of pandemic denial and modern culture's intentional wilful self-destruction. At this point I can only sigh and make songs documenting this fucked up reality we inhabit for as long as the world has left (which isn't long, I'm afraid).
