1.
i looked upon her face drawing the light towards a stygian horizon of starless abyss entropic mother of the sun, earth, sea her irradiant aura cloaked in cataclysm and joy such gravity to draw all questions inwards yet from this singularity spills all the colors of creation soundless, time scrapes it's fissured paintbrush from sky to shore … eraser, eraser seal up these these visions and lay me down amongst the lost to feed the forest roots beneath the blood-draped hills
2.
Crossing 05:08
you bleed into these dreams like a tourniquet for the flow of my mind i keep waiting and watching for signs of the crossing the moment between we walk this place we walk the line to the crossing

deep in the heart of the mother infinities encoded and stored potentials of thought undiscovered the seeds of a billion new ways a planted path of roots and vines the oxides of time leave us withered cast from heavens unkept with too many years unspent but we carry on we carrion we carry on
4.
Ozymandias 05:37
empires sprawling in dust where once great cities sung and wanderers bore witness to the hand that mocked and the heart that fed in palaces of consciousness forged from supernovae in fleeting structures of self lie the dying embers of a universal birth in miniature and in between the lonely stars flung from the galaxy's spiral arms death and life are merely states of matter everything that was, will be forever and ever and always
5.
Shadowrealms 02:36
6.
cut from Occam's razor into islands of make-believe and dropped into a sea of possibilities there is nothing here that makes any sense at all there is nothing here that is true on a vessel of infinite conjecture the wind in my hair is the only thing that matters
7.
the sun is just another torture above these endless clouds choirs of angels, in sackcloth tuning perfect notes the oblate world sings hosanna to a drowned mind
8.
pools in the aether i'm swimming towards you i feel you i feel it all failing in the houses of the old gods the shadows grow longer and oh god it's the light! i just want to go out kicking and screaming and cursing the lies that we told ourselves fuck them i never believed (but it's a blanket of hope and it's warming the cold) even here at the end all the white light in heaven can't penetrate this darkness
9.
we shared a little dream in whispers and in lines and the heavens’ vastness spilled out before us and unknown machinery propelled us forwards yet my feet touch the ground where dreams hold no sway where war, and famine, and futility reigns and we fight the waning days… in the end it doesn’t matter my love, we sail between the stars

about

Some day each of us will cease to exist. We will die. The nature of this transition and the observation of the phenomenon in the first person is unknowable except to the dying. Science can express probabilities, but not certainties. To transit the pathway of death and report on it's nature; to experience it from multiple angles, from the bleached and billowy cloud halls of heaven to the nothingness of the abyss… that would be a fascinating experience. And thus we arrive here.

Unlike a lot of my previous work, this recording has been largely improvised, with minimal digitally manipulated post-production. My hope was to make a raw, emotional snapshot of each idea without too much additional coloration. I've come to appreciate the flaws and imperfections as part of the strata of the experience, which in some ways mirrors the path we lay behind us through life. Things happen, they are preserved, and the work carries forward.

Creating this has been an emotionally cathartic experience for me, and I hope you can find something valuable in the journey for yourself.
